Cyber café at Secunderabad railway station

Passengers at the Secunderabad Railway station have been provided with net services. A new cyber café has been inaugurated at the railway station on Thursday. The centre has 25 systems and the fully air-conditioned centre is open round the clock.

A nominal charge of 20 rupees per hour would be charged for utilizing the services. A wi-fi service will also be provided soon at the station. At present the Hyderabad, Vijayawada and Guntur railway stations have cyber cafes on the platforms.

Dual degree from JNTU

The JNTU proposes to introduce a new course which would allow the engineering students to obtain a second degree. The new five year course will enable students pursing electronics, mechanical, electrical course etc. as their core subject will now be allowed to complete engineering course in computer science by studying for one more year.

In effect, by spending one more year at the campus, the students can obtain two engineering degrees. The University says that with the rise in the software boom ad the demand for computer science graduates, it would be of immense benefit to the students.
