Chief Minister Y.S.Rajasekhara Reddy has urged the Stanford University, California, to locate its offshore campus in Hyderabad and assured to provide all necessary infrastructure for it. Dr. Reddy and Mr. Burt in the presence of B. Ramalinga Raju, chairman Satyam computer services inc exchanged an MoU.
The MoU envisages EMRI, a non-profit group based in Hyderabad, to train India's new corps of paramedics. In addition to training paramedics, the Stanford group will teach paramedic educators in India who can carry on the work of instructing the next generation of advanced emergency medical technicians.
Chairman Board of Trustees, Stanford University Burt McMurtry agreed in principle to set up an institute in the State and assured to provide affordable healthcare to the people, according to a press release from the Chief Minister's Office. |
