Both will compete with racers of other 48 countries in ‘Rotax Max World Go-Karting Championship’, which will be held in Langkawi, Malaysia on 26th November. They are cautiously making their move and know what they are aiming for. With the aim to bring laurels to their country, they are planning their future ahead. Lets hope these indomitable guys come out in flying colours from the championship.

Sridevi, Jayasudha, an ever-smiling chairperson of the Jury Suhasini, hero-turned-MP Govinda, Tarun, `Samba' Mac Mohan of `Sholay fame,' Ramesh Prasad of Prasads Group, Boney Kapoor, Jackie Shroff and Former Miss India Nafisa Ali included the stars list. Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting S. Jaipal Reddy, Andhra Pradesh Ministers - M. Satyanarayana Rao (Cinematography) and Mohd Ali Shabbir (Information) represented from the political arena. 25 countries took part in this festival with 170 short and animation films screened. More than thousand children from outside came to participate in the grand festival. As they say one step leads to another. Similarly, Iranian Film Festival followed after the success of International Children’s Film Festival in Hyderabad. It looks like an enduring season for kids is on a roll. Moreover, the city witnessed remarkable performances of theatre actresses Nadira Babbar and Juhi Babbar in their play ‘Ji Jaisi Apki Marzi’ lately. Many other plays are also been organized in the city. Looking at the overwhelming response received for theatre acts and foreign films, it appears there are here to stay. After an accomplished Children’s International Film Festival, the ship of another Film Festival has sailed to the lovely Goa. The International Film Festival of India, 2005, will be held in Goa. Making the event more special for hyderabadis is the news of two south Indian films that will be screened in this festival. Also, our megastar Chiranjeevi has been invited as the guest of honor for the festival. The two movies that will be screened are Indraganti Mohana Krishna’s ‘Grahanam’ and Gunasekhar’s ‘Arjun’. An honor in itself, southern movies are actually going places.

Though the filmmakers and the producers deny it saying that they have taken precautionary measures against them. Pinky Reddy was all convincing this lot when one of the Reddys demanded that “If Mallika Sherawat participates in this run, we will all participate”. Now, whichever Reddy is this is certainly desperate to meet Mallika. Soon, you will see Aishwariya Rai as Rani Laxmibai, Kareena Kapoor in an Indian adaptation of Shakespeare’s ‘Othello’ and Sushmita Sen in an Ashoka’s flick.
