Searing Warfare Amid The Pearly City And The Green One

This year most of India’s big states have experienced disasters. Among all, Hyderabad and Bangalore are the ones who are fighting against the crisis and as well as against each other. The chairman and CEO of Infosys, N R Narayan Murthy, is the bone for which both are aiming. Now the CEO is confused as to where should he invest, with Bangalore drown in heavy rains and Hyderabad arising as a profitable IT hub. Deliberate discussions are going on, on this issue with the IT industry of both the states pointing out fingers at each other.

This tussle between the states has provoked the people living in the states also, to sit and take notice and react on the ongoing comments of the states. It is the natives of the cities talking more than the politicians. People are actually comparing the living and the business standards of both the cities.

Few comparisons between the two are as follows:
Roads
Roads leading to IT hub in Hyderabad are linked to four sides of the city, reducing the time of travelling. While in Bangalore, one-way roads make travelling tiring and time-consuming.
Traffic
Traffic in Hyderabad though is a bit ill mannered, but the signals or the stoppages are not for more than 10 minutes. It is vice versa here in Bangalore. The traffic is a little organized but the stops and signals last for some 30-45 minutes and that is big time.
Power
Hyderabad is on the verge of exemption of power cuts and the power tariffs are very low. Whereas in Bangalore, the tariffs are three times higher than in Hyderabad with not so many power cuts.
Airport
It hardly takes 15 minutes to reach the Hyderabad airport from the city center. On the contrary, in Bangalore you need to start much before time, if you don’t wish to miss the flight, since it takes 30 minutes to reach the airport.
Connectivity
Both the cities are well equipped with unlimited bandwidth connections.
Manpower
Though Hyderabad is lagging behind in this context, but it is soon catching up in the race with Bangalore. It is too early for Hyderabad to be compared to Bangalore today. Hyderabad is still budding.
Entertainment
Not only in terms of business, Hyderabad is also building up the entertainment world to suit the needs of the people working in MNC’s and other software companies. Giving the illustration of the late night timings supports this statement; Hyderabad enjoys till 12 in the night, while Bangalore closes at 10.30.
Pollution
In stipulations of pollution, Bangalore scores over Hyderabad. After all, the city of gardens can save nature more when compared to the city of pearls.
Medical facility
Hyderabad is far better in terms of medical facility and the cost involved in it. People would say more number of successful heart surgeries have been performed in Bangalore, but the medical facility there, is a bit expensive when compared to Hyderabad.
Cost of living
This is one of the key differentiator amid two. The cost of living in Hyderabad is approximately half to that of Bangalore. Also one needs to pay one-year deposit to rent a flat in Bangalore. Where as in Hyderabad, one can simply give three months deposit and live on rent. Thus, savings are high of professionals in Hyderabad than in Bangalore.
Now let’s see which one would Mr. Narayan Murthy pick for Infosys. Who do you think will win in this tug of war between two mounting metropolises? One thing is for sure, people of both the cities will benefit from this catfight, as the city heads will come up with the best opportunities for the working crowd.
Ladies Night Out

With massive empowerment of women in all the parts of India, today women have gained more prominence when compared to men. Everywhere it is the women bustling and attracting more attention. No doubt women are luring, but are also brainy. The pub owners have picked up this concept and hence many Ladies Nights are been organized in the city.

All the happening pubs conduct at least two Ladies Nights in a week. And these days are the most crowded ones, as women from ages have been crowd-pullers. The women are specially treated with gifts attached to their entries. Gifts might be a complimentary drink, a take away gift or may be special refreshments. The pub owners assertively say, “ It’s a blast man! With so many pretty ladies on the floor, it rejuvenates the ambiance of the pub. The night really rocks.” With exclusive nights organized for women, more number of women have started enjoying the pub culture. Sitting and sulking at home is no more what women do today. Social dos and parties are ruling their priority palettes.

Buzz is that you can see more number of women drinking and smoking here compared to other metros. One of the guys, who flew from USA, was stunned watching so many smoke here. Looking at women around, amazed he said, “ Women of Hyderabad are so unpredictable and can be upto anything”. Well guys, I would say this is just the beginning. Be prepared to watch more of these women.

MMS Out, Voice- Recording In

The latest crib about the in-built cell phone technology is that, at parties they are people who find fun in recording personal conversations. How can one even think of recording personal conversations? It is ridiculous but it is still happening. The shocking part is that it is people from friends and social circle doing this disgraceful act. “Beware of such wary people. You never know, in one corner of the party, there might be people laughing away listening to your recorded talk”, is the guideline that goes with the entry of parties today.

“With no space for privacy, get-togethers have become atrocious with people even recording personal talks”, says one of the regular party animals. Increased techno is giving rise to newer and creative crimes, which in turn is intruding people’s privacy. Well don’t you think the privacy laws need to be checked once and new rules should be added to it?

Read And Wanna Enjoy - Buy This

Chetan Bhagat, the author of the book ‘Five Point Someone’, I think is a name known to all teenagers. If you haven’t heard it then stop reading this and right now go and buy one copy of his book. A great book, which will bring back teenage days with different and true flavor.

This straight from heart author is out with his new book ‘One Night At The Call Center’. Hurry up! The bookstores are already full with people asking for it. Chetan Bhagat has written both of his books in a very realistic way. One cannot stop reading it, lest you stop and remember similar situations you faced. The characters are so full of life that you live and enjoy reading the book.

This 31-year-old author is here to stay and is an apt author for Genx. Do read his second book. Pleasure and fun guaranteed.

Halloween spells its terror on the pearly city too

Halloween nights are the ‘in thing’ in Hyderabad also. 31st October was the Halloween night here. They have become another reason to party. The whole concept of celebrating a Halloween night is still blurred, but what has the concept or the history of anything got to do with partying? It is believed that on this very night, the souls or the spirits of the dead come back and mingle with the living.

God alone knows how true is this, but yes many happening places in the city are organizing Halloween parties. Weird costumes, colourful and creepy make-ups, scary food dishes and tracks of horrifying music are what people up to on a Halloween night. People belonging to all the age groups from kids to middle-aged to older people enjoy the darkness meant for the spirits. Prizes for best costume and the scariest act are given away in the parties. This year we saw many devils and demons (obviously the dressed ones), making innovative noises to scare other people and attract attention. Some people wait for this night eagerly to play pranks on their enemies. Nothing would be like scaring and terrifying your foe without him or her knowing that it is you!

Well everything done in the right spirits is right on this daunting night. With numerous teenagers celebrating it, it has become a fad in Hyderabad and the parties conducted are no less when compared to abroad.

Enigma unraveled in a big bash

28th October witnessed a big bash at the launch of a new lounge bar in Secundrabad, the sister twin city. The phenomenal hangout is named Enigmaa with an extra ‘A’. May be that extra ‘A’ is a tag on to add oodles of mystery to the hip and happening bar. With a free entry and loads of free entertainment, the launch attracted a lot of crowd. Singapore inspired architecture of the bar took over the heart of many. Many Page 3 folks attended the do.

Actress Laila was spotted with her hubby, Shashidhar Reddy, R K Birla, Srikanth Reddy, Shashi P Reddy were among the Page 3 list. Also teenagers hopped in, in huge number. Entertaining the crowd were Channel V VJ Anushka and victor of the ‘War of DJ’s’ DJ Piyush. The pack of hosts really had a blast with the enthralling music played by DJ Piyush. Moreover two bartender girls added oomph to the event with their performances. The multi cuisine restaurant of the bar, Blue Fox, also had it own share of eating lot enjoying its delicacies. On whole it was must to attend do.

Mobile TV raving in Hyderabad cars
The new source of entertainment in the cars of Hyderabad nowadays is a TV or a LCD or a DVD player. With people spending ample money in accessorizing their cars, this is a new fad. People are really enjoying this leisure of watching TV and movies in the car, but this leisure of theirs has become a great concern for the Traffic Police Department. The traffic officials believe that this new fad will add onto the existing menace of traffic regulations. Viewing while driving is harmful for both the driver and the people around his vehicle. Not only this, viewing porn will also go up with youngsters watching porn movies by stopping the cars at lonely corners of the city. Though people are being fined, yet a proper regulation has not been made. Will this continue or will lead to an increase in the crime records?
Go belly, is what Hyderabad singing now
Belly dancing has caught up on the dance floor these days in Hyderabad. I am not talking of the belly dancers but the ladies of the Pearl City who are very interested in learning belly dance. A belly dance workshop was recently conducted in the city. The number of the ladies who attended was more than the expected. While the moves of the trained teacher were difficult to grasp, the learning lot kept trying with their high spirits. What might be the reason behind the ladies wanting to learn belly dance? Is this a new way to get their hubbies attention and love? Well, let us leave that to the dearly wives. Is anyone out there interested to learn this hippy and belly dance?
