BHAGAVADGITA BITE SIZED LEARNING | Why Did Dronacharya Agree To Combat Against Arjuna? | BhaktiOne
The current episode is dedicated to all the Indian Police Personnel. Drona fought the Kurukshetra battle half-heartedly. Dronacharya openly declared that he would be able to defeat the Pandavas only if Arjuna was not in combat with him, owing to the liking he had towards Arjuna. Though Drona had immeasurable “Vatsalsya” – affection towards his son Ashwathama, Arjuna was smart enough to work his way to gain the affection of his teacher Drona. It was not easy for Drona to even imagine standing as an opponent to Arjuna. But “Dharma” of an employee was over and above all the other emotions, feelings and beliefs. In today’s context the Indian Police force are an apt example to quote how difficult it is to run a nation in times of crisis like the PANDEMIC times. Enforcing a lockdown is not at all an easy job. People have genuine, real, and acceptable reasons to come out of homes. But rules say -Keep people off the roads. Everyone are afraid of everything. In such times the police have donned all the possible roles from being “Hunger warriors”, “Medicine suppliers”, “Creative pranksters”, “Dharma keepers”, “Camping supporters”, “Grocery suppliers”, “Ambulance service providers”, “hygiene teachers”, “SOS volunteers” and what not. Though I have used humorous adjectives to describe, I have no words to appreciate the POLICE FORCE who have surpassed the Superhero POLICE shown in Bollywood movies. The police proved that “Bravery is being the only one who knows you are afraid” Franklin P Jones. Dear Police brothers – thanks once again for being BRAVE in the face of adversity called COVID.
