Vitamin D has become a very important element of nutrition and supplementation. Compared to the health knowledge people had five years ago, parents now,  know more about Vitamin D and other health supplements. Vitamin D is on the top of the mind for many parents, these days. Beginning from infants to even the hundred year olds, vitamin D plays a major role in health.
It helps maintain strong bones, prevent chronic diseases, including those related to immune and cardiovascular systems.

Infants who are breast-fed need vitamin D supplements of upto 400 IU a day, during the initial few days of birth. A formula-fed infant, if consuming 32 Ozs of milk per day, is understood to have sufficient Vitamin D intake. Even toddlers and adolescents, who consume a glass of milk per day, need supplements of vitamin D.

Vitamin D supplements come in drops, chewable tablets, gummies and capsule forms....along with fortified forms of food like Milk, Orange juice, certain Cereals, etc....vitamin D is also present in many natural foods such as few types of Mushrooms, salmon fish, tuna fish, mackerel, sardines,
Eggs, liver, beef, swiss cheese etc.
