James, the final film of Kannada Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar, was released in theatres around the world today. The film was released today to celebrate Puneeth's birth anniversary.

Puneeth's followers have rushed to theatres across Karnataka, as expected. They've been enjoying the film's release but simultaneously feeling emotional as they watch their favourite actor perform on the big screen.

Many videos of people becoming emotional in the theatres are now going popular on social media.

To pay honour to Puneeth, theatre owners across Karnataka have chosen not to show any other films for a week. Since this morning, all theatres in the state have been crowded. Puneeth cut-outs have been erected by fans, who have also performed Palabhishekam on them.

James, directed by Chethan Kumar, stars Priya Anand as the female lead. Puneeth filmed 90% of the shot for this movie. Following his death, the filmmakers altered the plot somewhat and completed the picture with the necessary post-production work.

James has also been released in Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Tamil, in addition to Kannada. It was shown on around 4000 screens globally. This is the most biggest release of Puneeth's career.
