Suriya's upcoming film 'Vaadivaasal,' directed by Vetri Maaran, is one of the most anticipated films in Kollywood. The film's test shoot is now taking place at ECR near Chennai, and pictures from the set have gone viral over the last two days. Now, actor Soori, who also appears in the film, appears to be quite excited about it.

Soori, who shared a few photos of himself with Suriya and director Vetrimaaran from the set of the film, has stated that the film would be an epic that will make the world aware of the greatness of our country's traditional game, which has been heroic for thousands of years.

The film, produced by Kalaipuli Thanu, is based on Tamil writer CS Chellappa's work Vaadivaasal. The plot of Vaadivaasal centres around Picchi receiving an opportunity to avenge himself at the Chellaiyi festival held in Periyapatti, and it was previously speculated that Suriya would wind up playing both son and father. GV Prakash composed the soundtrack for the film, and the composer has previously announced that the music and background score of 'Vaadivaasal' will be very native, raw, and rustic.
