Thalapathy Vijay is currently starring in Thalapathy 66, a Telugu Tamil Bilingual film directed by Vamsi Paidipally. Rashmika Mandanna plays the female lead in this film. Vijay and Vamsi Paidipally are currently filming in Hyderabad. The film is being produced in both Telugu and Tamil. It is expected to be released across India.

Dilraju is the film's producer. Thalapthy Vijay is said to have met CM KCR politely in the context of the film being shot in Hyderabad. He was quoted as saying that Hyderabad and the Telangana government were both very supportive of the filming.

At the same time, KCR questioned Vijay about the films and discussed the evolution of southern cinema as well as Tamil Nadu politics. 

Vamsi Paidipally and MP Santosh Kumar, on the other hand, get along well. It has been learned that the CM KCR and Vijay met as a result of that advent. According to reports, Santosh Kumar was successful in bringing the two together.
