Home  »  News  »  Prashanth Neel setting projects for his assistants as well

Updated : Apr 18, 2026

Director Prashanth Neel seems to be actively paving the way for his trusted associates while juggling his own massive commitments. Not many directors tend show such aggressive push but Neel seems to be doing what is good for his assistants, too.

Observe closely, he previously backed Bagheera for Hombale Films right after the success of KGF. Now, he is strictly focused on his highly anticipated directorial project with Jr NTR. This massive pan-Indian film is being heavily backed and produced by Mythri Movie Makers.

Alongside his directorial duties, Neel has also brought another interesting project to the same production house. He is acting as the presenter for an Indo-Korean horror comedy titled 418, with Mythri Movie Makers serving as the producers.

This strategic move has led to industry discussions about Neel using his goodwill to securely settle his assistants as independent directors. By attaching his name as a presenter, he ensures these smaller projects get the required financial backing from top banners. A good habit indeed but 418 needs work as Bhageera ended up being a dud.
