Well-known film actor Rajendra Prasad, who has acted in more than 300 films and earned a special place in the hearts of Telugu people with his versatile performances, has been selected for the “Nata Prapoorna T.L. Kantha Rao Memorial National Award.

 

This announcement was made in a press release by the Selection Committee Chairman K.V. Ramana Chary and Convener Nagabala Suresh Kumar, on the occasion of Kantha Rao’s 102nd birth anniversary (November 16).

 

The award will be presented on the 21st of this month at a program to be held in the Film Chamber. Telangana State Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Telangana State FDC Chairman Dil Raju, along with several other prominent personalities from the film industry and political leaders, will attend the event as chief guests.

 

The organizers stated that for the past 18 years, they have been celebrating Kantha Rao's birth anniversary on November 16, but due to certain reasons, this year's event is being held on November 21. They also mentioned that members of Kantha Rao’s family will take part in the program that day..
