Kishkindhapuri starring Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas, Anupama Parameswaran has become a surprise success despite facing underwhelmng reviews and not so favorable word of mouth. The makers have sold the movie for Rs.8 crores of amount theatrically and recovered it over the weekend. 

Producer took a good deal for OTT platforms and decided to not put pressure on the theatricals. While movie costed Rs.32 crores for producer Sahu Garapati, as per sources, the recovery of the theatrical advances has made it a profitable venture, including OTT deal. 

The sound design of the film did attract huge appreciation while the content did not really click. Mirai and Dragon Slayer did effect the movie still, the low asking prices made it as a clean hit. Bellamkonda Sreenivas wanted a rousing critical acclaim but he is happy with the success, say reports. 

Koushik Pegallapati has directed the film and makers got Megastar Chiranjeevi to endorse it. Still, the collections did not improve but they are happy with the performance and hoping that on OTT, it will be a much better hit.
