Updated : Sep 15, 2025

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan have moved to Delhi High Court against people who misuse their images and trolls. Now, director-producer Karan Johar has moved to Delhi High Court against trolling his personality by creating fake accounts, fake fan pages and characteristics without his consent.

While Justice Manmeet Pritam Singh Arora denied to give an open injection to ban, block and delete every fan page. He stated that memes cannot be "necessarily disparaging". But Karan Johar's lawyer said, "There is a line between making fun...The platform becomes responsible. The more the memes, the more viral it is, the more money you make...I have a right to ensure that nobody uses my persona or characteristics without my consent."

Court has agreed to give orders to take down some fan pages and if any similar pages exist, then Johar can come back to the court. On 17th September, the court could pass orders on the interim application. Well, celebrities seem to have decided that enough is enough with the social media circus.
