SS Rajamouli has been exploring and re-defining the limits of Telugu film reach with each of his film. Post Magadheera, he had decided to not take small steps anymore and Baahubali, RRR have been global sensations. Now, with his Globe Trotter, SSMB29 starring Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra, Prithviraj Sukumaran, he is aiming for a Hollywood collaboration and huge level production that is unheard of for any Telugu Cinema.
He is planning his film's announcement event also at the same level in Ramoji Film City. While the event has been restricted to only registered people with physical passes Hyderabad Police have announced even many more restrictions, traffic diversions. This is all a routine drill and very important too.
But the kind of response his character posters have been receiving from the film has been mixed. The Sanchari song sung by Shruti Haasan is gaining good traction but Priyanka Chopra's look as Mandakini, did not really resonate with audiences as the team anticipated.
So, the pre-dominant question has been if the director is growing over-confident or is he over-conscious to release very little. Some claims have arised that he used AI to develop Prithviraj's look and Priyanka Chopra's look too. It is hard to imagine him being a perfectionist using AI just for non-complicated posters.
Many audiences are of the opinion that Rajamouli is conscious about how much he can reveal at this moment and he might just shock at the event with the quality, he normally delivers. Whatever be the end result, the goal for Rajamouli has always been to deliver something unique from his side even with well-known stories. We have to wait and see, how he designed entire event at this grand scale to mesmerise world and make an announcement.
