The recent controversy over offensive comments on a 'father-daughter' relationship by social media influencer Praneeth Hanumanthu has highlighted the darker side of social media.

There has been widespread public outrage on social media, prompting Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to announce immediate action. Hyderabad police apprehended Praneeth Hanumanthu in Bengaluru and presented him in a Hyderabad court. Following a court order granting custody, investigations are underway.

The situation worsened for the YouTuber when his blood tests revealed drug traces, indicating he had consumed Ganja. Praneeth Hanumanthu faces additional charges as investigations continue. 

Currently, he is being held at Chanchalguda jail under various sections including the IT Act, IPC Section 294, and the POCSO Act. Additionally, he has been booked under the NDPS Act for drug consumption.

This drug case complicates the case for Praneeth Hanumanthu.
