Updated : Dec 1, 2025

The lyrical video of Nelaraaje from Draupathi 2 unfolds with the grace of a tender chronicle set against a bygone era. What begins as an intimate portrayal of marital life gently echoes the emotional heartbeat of the 14th century, a time shaped by alliances, lineage, and the quiet strength of companionship. Composer Ghibran infuses the track with a soft, dignified melodic warmth, crafting a soundscape where emotion flows with the restraint and elegance befitting a historical epic.

Sung with depth and clarity by Padmalatha, the song journeys through the sacred milestones of a couple’s shared life: marriage, the early rhythm of domestic harmony, and seemantham, the ceremonial blessing for the life growing within.

The visuals blend simplicity with regal undertones, capturing a period world where love was expressed not through spectacle but through devotion, duty, and subtle gestures that carried immense meaning.

Lyricist Samrat keeps the writing grounded and sincere, reflecting the emotional honesty of relationships forged in an era defined by resilience. Ghibran’s quiet orchestration, soft strings, muted harmonies, and gentle rhythmic textures  transforms the song into a memory of an older world, warm, evocative, and steeped in cultural depth.

Draupathi 2 is marching toward release with towering anticipation. Mounted on an expansive 14th-century canvas, Mohan G appears to be steering the sequel into a realm of far greater historical detail, political intrigue, and dramatic scale than its predecessor.

Led by Richard Rishi and Rakshana Induchoodan, the film brings together a formidable ensemble of Natti Natraj, Y. G. Mahendran, Nadodigal Barani, Saravana Subbiah among others. Draupathi 2 is rapidly emerging as one of the year’s most awaited historical sagas.
