Updated : Dec 18, 2025

Adivi Sesh, renowned for his streak of innovative thrillers, is set to push boundaries again with his most ambitious project, Dacoit. The makers recently unveiled the teaser, offering a glimpse into a world that is as emotionally raw as it is action-packed.

The narrative centers on a fractured love story, featuring Mrunal Thakur in a powerhouse performance that transitions seamlessly between innocence and profound anguish. The film's gravity is further bolstered by an elite ensemble cast, including acclaimed filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, alongside veterans Prakash Raj and Atul Kulkarni, promising intense on-screen confrontations.

Adivi Sesh shines in a rugged avatar, mastering a sharp Rayalaseema dialect that adds a layer of authenticity to his commanding screen presence. Under the brilliant direction of Shaneil Deo, the teaser emerges as a technical marvel. Cinematographer Danush Bhaskar captures visceral, dusty landscapes, while Gyaani’s pulse-pounding score—highlighted by a high-energy remix of the iconic "Kanne Pittaro"—elevates the tension.

Produced by Supriya Yarlagadda and presented by Annapurna Studios, the film boasts top-tier production values. Dacoit is slated for a grand worldwide theatrical release on March 19, 2026, perfectly timed for the Ugadi festivities. It promises to be a brutal, emotional, and unforgettable cinematic experience for the Telugu New Year.
