Updated : Sep 23, 2025

Dulquer Salmaan and Prithviraj Sukumaran have become new-age stars in Malayalam Cinema. After big M's - Mohanlal and Mammootty, Malayalam Cinema looks at these two actors as next biggest crowd pullers. Now, they faced custom raids at their houses in Kochi.

Custom officials have raided their houses as part of Operation Numkhor - vehicle in Bhutanese language. Recently, officials have stated that luxury vehicles have been imported from Bhutan avoiding import duty tax. Stating them as second hand cars belonging to Bhutan army officials, Indian celebrities have imported these cars.

After the raids, Dulquer Salmaan and Prithviraj Sukumaran have not violated any laws and they have paid all the due import duties. Some tried project the custom related raids as IT raids on social media, accusing both actors violating taxes after their recent films becoming blockbusters.

But that is not the case and Customs officials have checked all the details related to the vehicles of the actors. Further checking will also go on in coming days, if required stated officials. Along with these actors, many celebrities houses have been raided and officials are suspecting al least 15 vehicles have been imported evading customs duties.
