Updated : Oct 29, 2025

Baahubali has become the biggest blockbuster series ever in Indian Cinema. The movie makers have been trying to find ways to make it into a huge IP like Star Wars for Indian Cinema. While many audiences are waiting for Baahubali 3, the makers are ready with a 3D Animation Feature with new story but all important characters.

An animation specialist director, Ishan Shukla, is behind the animation feature film. Director SS Rajamouli showcased the teaser to Prabhas and Rana Daggubati in the special interview. He stated that the teaser will be played during Baahubali: The Epic interval.

The 3D animation feature is mounted on a cost of Rs.120 crores by ARKA Media works, which makes it costliest Indian Animation Cinema. SS Rajamouli is thrilled to see new characters being introduced while retaining established old ones. Do we get to see Rana Daggubati or Prabhas in animated form? It is highly doubtful.

Baahubali 3 won't be announced with the Epic and 3D Animation Feature Film is the major development of this franchise, for now. Rajamouli honestly accepted that their 2D animation projects and TV Series ideas did not really live up to the expectations but pointed that this proper 3D animation feature has all the potential.
