Thalapathy Vijay's latest offering Beast received mixed reviews at the box office, but the negative word of mouth did not deter the Beast's box office success. On a worldwide scale, the movie has already collected a significant box office gain.

The Tamil New Year release, starring Thalapathy Vijay and Pooja Hegde, is said to have exceeded Rs 100 crore at the box office in just two days. The critics slammed the film, while other fans used the hashtag #BeastDisaster to make it trend on Twitter. But no one was able to stop the tsunami at the box office.

Trade analyst Ramesh Bala took to Twitter and revealed, “In 2 days, #Beast has crossed ₹ 100 Crs gross at the WW Box office.”

In Tamil Nadu, the film Beast directed by Nelson, surpassed the first-day collection record of Sarkar, which collected Rs. 32.84 crore on its opening day by a margin of Rs 5 crore.

Beast is competing against the recently released action thriller drama KGF: Chapter 2, directed by Prashanth Neel of Salaar fame and starring Yash, Sanjay Dutt, Srinidhi Shetty, and Raveena Tandon.
