The much-anticipated pan-India film of the year, 'KGF Chapter 2,' finally hit theatres on Thursday after a long, long wait. The makers of KGF stunned audiences with big news in the end credits, much to the pleasure of franchise fans.

During interviews last year, director Prashanth Neel flatly stated that he had no intention of extending the series simply for the purpose of it. KGF Chapter 3 will not take place. However, in KGF Chapter 2 hinted at the third instalment and established an international premise for the plot.

In the film, Prasanth Neel purposefully omitted certain years from the plot and hinted at the involvement of the American CIA. If Chapter 3 happens, it will be much larger than the previous two parts.
