Sam CS took a dig on Anirudh Ravichander?

Sam CS has become one of the popular composers of South Indian Cinema over the past decade. His brilliant work in Vikram Vedha has put in limelight and for BGM he has been the go-to-name. He even scored for Pushpa 2 The Rule as the movie neared release date and Devi Sri Prasad got busy.

He has not been celebrated as much as Anirudh Ravichander, Santhosh Narayanan, Sean Roldan and few others. Anirudh Ravichander has been the most popular and vibrant among all. Discussion about him being equalled to AR Rahman has been going on from past few years on social media.

In an interview, Sam CS in reply to his under the radar popularity, he stated that he doesn't know how to PR his works. He stated that he doesn't know how to make people wait till the last minute to give a song. He remarked that several composers give their track to directors before the shoot day and release day.

"The makers cannot suggest corrections at that time and they have to accept whatever the composer delivers. And there is a big social media activity to keep the song in trends and the budget of such activities is the budget of my full album. I don't make composers wait, I can't. But that's how people gauge popularity," said Sam CS.

Many on social media are connecting his words to Anirudh Ravichander and trolling Anirudh as PR made rockstar. While the PR campaigning is evident after a big film's singles release, we cannot attribute success of every song to just PR. But Sam CS did give some great insight into how social media is influencing us and our thinking.
