Icon Star Allu Arjun was supposed to attend Thandel pre-release Jathara event on 2nd February. He dropped in the last minute and makers stated that he was suffering with viral fever and hence, he could not make it. Yuvasamrat Naga Chaitanya Akkineni and Sai Pallavi are starring as main leads in the film. 

The movie is directed by Chandoo Mondeti and produced by Bunny Vasu with Allu Aravind presenting it. Bunny Vasu and Aravind wanted Allu Arjun to improve the buzz for the film with Karthi and Aamir Khan, releasing Tamil and Hindi trailers, respectively. Even organisers made it an insiders only event without any fans being invited to avoid any sort of accidents and unfortunate incidents like during Pushpa 2 The Rule premiere. Still, Allu Arjun couldn't make it. 

On social media though, the conspiracy theories about his absence are going on at full length. One theory states that Allu Arjun saw the film and he did not like it. He thought it won't work and did not want to associate with the film. But for Allu Aravind, he could have tried to make an effort say his fans. 

The second conspiracy theory states that Allu Arjun did not want to support the film as Mega fans and Powerstar Pawan Kalyan fans would distance from the film. He understands that Ram Charan's Game Changer failure would have hurt Mega fans more with Pushpa 2 becoming such a success. So, they would troll him and the film, too. 

He did not want to disturb the buzz of the film with his presence and decided to join the team in success celebrations. The third scenario or conspiracy theory is that Allu Arjun is still under distress due to the negativity and political issues he faced post Pushpa 2 and he doesn't want to rupture healing wounds right now. 

One wild rumour is also going around that as director Sandeep Reddy Vanga is a cult Mega Fan and he is projected to be having issues internally within the family, he did not want to share the stage with him. Also, some insiders state that Vanga and Allu Arjun had script based differences before and hence, he did not want to come to an event where Vanga will be present. 

Whatever may be the reason, he chose not to come. But the money that is spent on Thandel belongs to his father and his family. He might involve with the film promotions post release looking at the reception or he might just remain silent due to all the issues that transpired around him in past few months.
