Vetrimaaran says he planned Vada Chennai with Allu Arjun?

Viduthalai Part 1 is the latest film from one of Kollywood’s top directors, Vetrimaaran. We all know Vetrimaaran tells very rooted stories in a raw tone. Well, Viduthalai Part 1 is one such thriller film from Vetrimaaran. Ace producer Allu Aravind releasing the film in Telugu under 'Geetha Film Distribution' on April 15th.

 

Ahead of the film's release, today makers attended the Telugu press meet. Speaking at this occasion, Ace producer Allu Aravind said, "I've been following Vetrimaaran's work since the beginning. I've always admired his films, which are deeply rooted, emotionally charged, and hard-hitting. "The Local is the New Global," says a new quote, and Vetrimaaran has been following it since the beginning. 

 

Maverick director Vetrimaaran said, "Following the success of Asuran, I wanted to make a small and simple film. I took my time choosing Soori for this role, but the film became huge in the end. The budget was increased 18 times over what I initially told Producer. But he still made the film, which we appreciate. 

 

When asked about his direct Telugu project, he said "I've planned a film with Allu Arjun after Aadukaalam in Tamil as he wanted to enter Tamil industry. That was Vada Chennai intial version and it didn't materialise.

 

"My name is Soori, and I'd like to thank Allu Aravind for releasing our film in Telugu," said actor Soori. On April 15th, our film Viduthalai will be released in Telugu as Vidudhala. Thank you to my director Vetrimaaran garu and producer Elred Kumar garu for this wonderful opportunity.
