VD 12 is really the remake of this Hollywood film?

Vijay Deverakonda and director Gowtam Tinnanuri are teaming up for a period drama, directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, where Sreeleela plays the female lead. Tentatively titled VD12, the film is jointly produced by S Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas.

Commemorating Vijay Deverakonda’s birthday yesterday, VD12 makers have come up with a special poster for fans even before the film went on floors. The poster created excitement in fans about the film.

Yesterday decoding the poster few people compared the film with Hollywood film Argo. Now today, same kind of poster surfaced on social media. Netizens commenting that producer Naga Vamsi always copies the Hollywood posters.

The producer blamed for copying Hollywood posters even for small film Butta Bomma starring Anikha Surendran. Now fans and audience are confused that is this just a inspiration or the remake of Argo.

Clarifying the social media discussion Producer Naga Vamsi tweeted, "We haven't got inspired from anything. its just a coincidence we wanted our hero’s face in a shredded paper and that turned to be a bit similar to argo." Now it is also confirmed that the film is not a remake of Argo.

Girish Gangadharan is the cinematographer while Navin Nooli is the editor. Avinash Kolla is the art director. The shoot of VD12 commences this June. Other details surrounding the film, cast will be announced shortly. The drama is presented by Srikara Studios. Rockstar Anirudh Ravichander scores the music.
