New Year comes, the old days go into memory. 2013 started for Telugu audience with Seethamma Vaakitlo and has ended with small budget hit Uyyala Jamapala. It has given sweet success to some and failures to some of the heroes and directors. Let’s see what 2014 has in offing for our leading stars.

Nagarjuna

His films as lead hero had flopped but he has tasted success by the end of the year as producer with Uyyala Jampala. He is waiting for Manam and getting ready for Akhil’s debut next year.

Venkatesh

His home production Suresh productions will complete 50 years in 2014 and for him personally this year was of mixed emotions. While Seethamma proved saleability of multi starrers, Shadow was an unforgettable disaster!

Mahesh Babu

He tasted Sankranthi success with Seethamma Vaakitlo and is eagerly looking forward for One Nenokkadine @ 2014 Sankranthi and is hoping for Aagadu to be released in 2014.

Prabhas

With Mirchi turning out to be his career’s biggest hit, Prabhas’ happiness knew no bounds and in 2014, all his dates have been reserved for the epic Bahubali.

Rajamouli

There is only one thing in his mind for 2014, Bahubali. 2013 hasn’t seen any release from his stable.

NTR

He tasted average success with Baadshah in 2013 and a disaster in the form of Ramayya Vasthavayya but as an actor he never failed with his performance and sizzled in a stylish and younger look this year. He is hopeful of 2014.

Gopichand

Saahasam helped him to stay in the league with its different taking in 2013 and it’s more special as he tied the knot to Reshma this year. He is waiting for his film with B. Gopal in 2014.

Ram Charan

Nayak marked the success streak in 2013 but Thoofan upset him very much. He is waiting for Yevadu’s release for Sankranthi and his film with Krishna Vamsi will start in 2014.

Manchu Vishnu

Vishnu, who has big plans for January 1st is content with the success of Doosukeltha in 2013 and is waiting for the result of Pandavulu Pandavulu Thummeda in January.

Boyapati Srinu

For this successful director, the first look release of Legend with Balayya on New Year’s eve is a big satisfaction and is awaiting the result for this ambitious project.

Nani is spending December 31st this time with his sister Anjana is the US. None of his films released in 2013 except for his production D for Dopidi. He is awaiting release of three films in 2014.

Anushka Shetty

For sweety, 2013 gave mixed results. While Mirchi was a blockbuster, Varna was a dud. However she has started working on ambitious projects like Bahubali and Rudrama Devi this year and will be busy working for entire 2014.

Kajal Agarwal

Kajal is satisfied with the output of Nayak and Badshah in 2013 but has taken a voluntary break coupled with busy shopping and travelling for her sister’s wedding. She is expected to take up some Telugu and Tamil films this year.

Samantha

Seethamma Vaakitlo and Attarintiki Daaredi reaped success while Yeto Vellipoyindi Mansu and Jabardasth got only lukewarm response. She will be focusing more on Tamil films next year after 2013 has ended with controversies.

Amala Paul

She is currently vacationing in Italy. She is getting decent success in both Tamil and Telugu and also made a comeback in her native Malayalam.

Though Om affected this Nandamuri hero financially, he is upbeat about his upcoming projects in 2014 and hopes to regain his status as bankable hero.

He started 2013 with success in the form of Thadaka and is eagerly anticipating the release of much delayed Autonagar Surya. Chaithu is also expected to start working on Konda Vijaykumar’s film in 2014.
