Telugu cinema director Ram Gopal Varma suddenly turned philosophical rather than conventional on his latest Telugu movie Bezawada Rowdilu. It is well known that, earlier people of Vijaywada took to streets following relay strikes and filed complaint on him. Vijayawada people committee and some lawyers expressed their anguish saying, the script and shooting of Bezawada is tarnishing image of Vijaywada and demanded to clamp a ban on his controversial project.

After long haul drama, feeling jittery Ram Gopal Varma clarified his stand that at any cost he's not going to change the title of his project. Though Ram Gopal Varma is not directing it, he is acting as producer and guiding director from behind the camera. Today RGV explains that, Bezawada is his real place of origin rather than Hyderabad. Because he learnt business of film only through Bezawada from beginning of his career from Telugu movie Shiva.

"Hyderabad kanna bezawaada naa nijamaina puttinillu ..endhukante bezawaada lone nenu cinemaa direction nerchukunnanu. Nenu naa modhati cinema shiva ninchi ippati varaku asalu emainaa saadhinchaanante adhi kevalam Bezawada moolana" says Ram Gopal Varma.

Further elucidating stand on his birthplace Bezawada he said that, inspite of repeatedly saying that I am not soiling the name of Vijayawada but some people are showing disinclination towards my words. I am requesting people who are firmly believing my words to give me additional support to counter evil forces that are obstructing me going with that title(Bezawada Rowdeelu).
