Sankrantiki Vasthunnam takes highest opening in Venky's career

Victory Venkatesh has surprised many trade experts with the first day box office collections. The movie collected a huge Rs.45 crores gross worldwide on the first day. It got a limited release all-over due to other biggies like Game Changer and Daaku Maharaaj release.


The movie team created a huge buzz and anticipation prior to the release with chartbuster songs. Even in North America, movie took career best opening for Venkatesh with over US$500k collections for premieres and Day one. Movie has a strong word of mouth and it is expected to collect huge in coming days as well.


With 90-100% occupancies on Day one, the movie has been able to create such a record. Now, day 2 and day 3 sales are also huge. As in few places in Andhra Pradesh state, the festival will be celebrated for 5 days, we can say that the movie will continue to run big at box office for extended weekend till Sunday.


The movie is produced by Shirish and Dil Raju is presenting it. Trade experts are predicting that movie will be able to cover the losses of Game Changer to some extent if it continues to perform in same manner till 26th January, Republic Day weekend.
