Sandeep Reddy Vanga indirectly slams Deepika Padukone?
Updated : May 27, 2025
Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga rose to prominence with his films like Arjun Reddy, Kabir Singh and Animal. Post Animal, he got a reputation of being arrogant, misogynistic and rude.
He even replied to Bollywood legends who looked down upon his story and screenplay for Animal. Now, he is in PR fight with Deepika Padukone. It is known that Deepika has been replaced with Tripti Dimri for Spirit.
Prabhas is playing a cop for the first time and the project has huge hype and anticipation. But when it comes to leading lady, matter has become hugely controversial as Deepika Padukone is said to have been rejected by Sandeep for unreasonable demands.
Now, a media story has come out stating that Deepika has quit because of the movie being "A" rated and having many bold scenes. Sandeep slammed her making her responsible for the leaks.
He wrote on X, "When I narrate a story to an actor, I place 100% faith. There is an unsaid NDA(Non Disclosure Agreement) between us. But by doing this, You've 'DISCLOSED' the person that you are...."
Further he slammed her for attacking Tripti, "Putting down a Younger actor and ousting my story? Is this what your feminism stands for ? As a filmmaker, I put years of hard work behind my craft & for me, filmmaking is everything. You didn't get it. You won't get it. You will never get it."
Lastly he ended with this idiom and calling these as Dirty PR games. He said, "Aisa karo.... Agli baar poori kahani bolna... kyunki mujhe jarra bhi farak nahi padtha. #dirtyPRgames
I like this kahawath very much :-) खुंदक में बिल्ली खंबा नोचे !
(Do this, next time tell the whole story and screenplay, because I don't care and it won't affect an inch. I like this idiom very much, - "In anger and spite, cat scratched a big lampost"). "
Well, we have to wait how Bollywood biggies like Karan Johar would react to these allegations and PR outbursts.
