Lokesh Kanagaraj has become one of the most sought after directors in Indian Cinema. His Kaithi, Master, Vikram have built such an aura for him among masses that his next film, Coolie has highest anticipation. Also, the movie stars Superstar Rajinikanth, King Nagarjuna, Aamir Khan, Shruti Haasan, Upendra in leading roles.

The director is giving multiple interviews to media personalities and he shared some interesting updates. He stated that the movie will have watch smuggling track and hence, he developed watch chain for an action sequence. He also stated that he is a fan of Nagarjuna from Ratchagan/ Rakshakudu days and chased him for Simon role.

Lokesh stated that he used to sit with Nag, every weekend and did not give him time to say, No. As the senior hero has been hesitant, Lokesh met him seven times and gave narrations till he accepted. He further stated that he is still in awe of the actor, even in his 60's, he is able to maintain his look, aura.

Even Shruti Haasan stated that Nagarjuna will shock Telugu audiences, as his menacing looks will be thrilling to watch. Lokesh added that he did not want to try another actor except for Nagarjuna for the role. He remarked that Anirudh Ravichander and his team, loved the film. The movie is releasing on 14th August, Pan-India.
