Leo becomes 2023 best day 1 grosser in Indian cinema

The highly awaited Thalapathy Vijay’s Leo opened to mind-blowing numbers all over. The movie is the biggest opener in Kollywood film history, and it collected in nearly 140 crores gross at the worldwide box office.

The unprecedented following of Vijay, along with Lokesh Kanagaraj’s brand power, ensured a mammoth opening. In Telugu states, Leo collected a fantastic 16 crores gross on its opening day, making it the biggest-ever opener for Vijay.

Leo is giving a tough fight to Balakrishna’s Bhagavanth Kesari in Telugu states. The film is also holding well on day two as per the initial trends. Leo’s Telugu version crossed 500K$ at the USA box office.

The movie received mixed reviews, but it seems that Vijay’s stardom and LCU franchise craze are drawing the audiences to the theatres. Anirudh composed the tunes for this action drama. Trisha played the female lead, while Sanjay Dutt, Arjun, and Gautam Menon essayed vital roles.
