Kiran Abbavaram has been drawing good attention with his different promotional strategy for KRamp. After a blockbuster like KA, he is releasing for another Diwali, trying to repeat the magic. Does the movie live up to the expectations? Let's discuss about it in detail.

Plot:

Kumar Abbavaram (Kiran Abbavaram) is a vagabond and spoilt rich brat. His father (Sai Kumar) supports him no matter what and he doesn't study well, behave well and thinks about only himself. Trying to control him, his father sends him to Kerala for Engineering Degree. But he still remains the same and falls in love with Mercy Joy (Yukti Thareja).

She has PTSD and she has suicidal tendencies if anyone misses the promise they make to her. Kumar doesn't honor and gets to know that she got admitted in ICU, committing suicide. A person who runs away from any sort of responsibility has to now take care of a chilly personality with PTSD. What will he do? How will he take care of her? Watch the movie to know more.

Analysis:

Kiran Abbavaram tries to woo audiences with his typical performance. He did not try anything new and is able to keep things engaging and entertaining from start to finish. Yukti Thareja got a good role for Telugu Cinema standards but she could not support it with her performance.

While she is able to bring glam quotient to the mix she did not give a nuanced performance. Still, her performance works to the comical set up that the movie works on. Being a silly and youthful comedy, it maintains the tempo perfectly till the end.

Chaitan Bhardwaj music is good in parts but his BGM is fine. Production values are neither great or bad. But VFX work and cinematography are just okay, they could have been better. Writing wise the movie sets up well in the first hour and in the second half it delivers hilarious punches but depends on double meaning jokes a little too many. Still, the movie delivers an enjoyable entertainer.

One thing though, it is fine to crack jokes on PTSD or any disorder until they do not cross the line. Also, when the movie tries to "cure" a PTSD patient, in "sensible manner", the dark comedy zone doesn't work. The jokes needed consistency in second hour towards the end and emotional finale needed a little bit more weight. KRamp works as a youthful entertainer as it keeps things light and fun for most part of the film.

Bottomline:

KRamp has entertaining youthful content and works if you don't mind double innuendos.

Rating: 2.5/5
