Samantha's Shaakuntalam' released in the cinemas on April 14th. This Gunasekhar-directed film is produced by Neelima Guna and presented by Dil Raju. The massively mounted film Shaakuntalam based on internationally acclaimed Kalidasa’s Sanskrit play ‘Abhijnana Shakuntalam.'

 

The producers have told that the movie’s budget is around 80 Crores. The film failed to recover theatre rents after the first days making it as one of the biggest disasters in 2023.

 

Now the latest news is that this pan India language streaming rights of this movie are owned by the OTT giant Amazon Prime Video. And this movie is now streaming in all these languages. As previously reported the film made its OTT debut one day before.

 

This prestigious project has its music composed by Mani Sharma. The ensemble star cast includes Mohan Babu, Prakash Raj, Madhu Bala, Gautami and many other notable actors. This is Allu Arha's debut film.
