Bhairava Dweepam fame Vijaya Rangaraju passes away
Updated : Jan 20, 2025
Bhairava Dweepam, one of the classical folklore films of Telugu Cinema catapulted a new actor's popularity to new heights. The actor named, Raj Kumar debuted as villain Bhairava, a tantrik sorcerer. He changed his name to Vijaya Rangaraju, prior to release, as already Kannada Kantirava Raj Kumar was heavily popular.
Unfortunately, the actor passed away due to prolonged health issue. For several days, he had been admitted to a government hospital in Chennai and the actor passed away due to lack of proper care and funds, say close sources. While his family reached out for help, no one really came forward to help according to the reports.
While, Bhairava Dweepam became a huge blockbuster, Vijaya Rangaraju could not really find enough opportunities to cement his position as a villain. He acted in good Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam films. Once again, Gopichand's Yagnam gave him another opportunity with a commercial success, still he did not find a big lucky break.
Well, he was a talented actor who got overlooked. His height and looks matched legendary actor SV Rangarao's younger self which helped him land Bhairava Dweepam but later films box office results hampered his career. Maybe some should have helped him to get better treatment so that cinema wouldn't have lost a talented actor.
