Pan Indian star Prabhas' latest film Adipurush, a mythological epic is facing many controversies. On the one hand, the movie is getting good collections but the unit is facing difficulties due to many controversies surrounding it

 

Some north Indian devotees of Lord Rama have strongly criticized the way the film portrays Lord Rama, Sita Devi, Hanuman, the demon king Ravana and many key elements of the epic Ramayana.

 

Since yesterday, protests against the film have intensified in various cities across North India. Many outraged Hindus are demanding an immediate nationwide ban on the movie Adipurush.

 

Protesters attacked several theaters and blocked Adipurush's show. Some have demanded strict action against the producers of Adipurush for distorting and maligning the holy epic Ramayana.

 

On the other hand, the efforts of the makers to pacify the protestors that the film Adipurush is not an adaptation of Ramayana, but merely an inspired work of fiction, seems to have been futile.

 

Prabhas, who recently played a dual role in the Baahubali franchise, is loved by all North Indians. But it is unfortunate that his movie Adipurush is in controversy. Many are waiting to see how the Adipurush team will respond to the protests in the coming days.
