Baahubali & Srimanthudu: Sky High Demands

Gone are the days where distributors will watch a movie, judge it and quote a price to buy a territory. These days every producer is just showing teasers and trailers to sell the film. On that note, we have to say that many distributors are ending up in losses because they don't know about the masala inside the movies of these star heroes in advance.

And there is another problem. If a film turns massive hit, then the immediate films of that hero, producer and director are getting sold for sky-high prices. For example we have Baahubali making 250 crores share from box office and now the producers are getting ready to sell the film's second part at nearly 300 crores. Similarly we have Mahesh Babu's 'Srimanthudu' that made 13 crores at USA Box office and now Mahesh is demanding 13 crores for 'Brahtmotsavam' rights. What if these two projects let down the expectations?

Needless to say, distributors who have invested on them will fall in a mess and end up hands burnt severely. Sky high demands of superhit makers are one big trouble in film business and maybe distributors should play a safe game regarding it.
