Director Vijay Binni says that the soul of the Malayalam original 'Porinju Mariam Jose' hasn't been tinkered with in remaking it as 'Naa Saami Ranga'. He said that choosing Allari Naresh for the friend's character was a conscious choice. He says that he is extremely lucky to have worked with a trusting hero like Nag. "For a debutant like him, his support was everything."

Talking about his journey, he said "I entered the film industry intending to become a filmmaker. It was after watching 'Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana' that I decided to become a dance choreographer for the time being. My songs used to carry a certain emotion and take the story forward."

Talking about the film, he said "This film is one of the fastest to be made in Nagarjuna garu's career. The hero entrusted me with the remake because he believed in my narration skills. I relayed my vision of the film to him effectively. There are many emotional highs in the movie. You are also going to see the vintage Nag garu."

Talking about the story, he said "Although this is a remake, the treatment has been redesigned to suit Telugu nativity. This is a period drama taking place in the 1980s and 1990s. Friendship is the core element. You will find it refreshing. The film is a pack of individual characters and their situations. Raj Tarun is not Nag garu's friend in the movie."

Talking about MM Keeravaani garu, he said "This is the first major movie composed by MM Keeravani after he won the Oscar Award. All three songs released so far have proven his mettle. The other songs and background score are also going to be entertaining. Since the film is set in a bygone era, the songs come with that retro feel. The picturization will make sense once you discover that the film is set in the 80's 90's."

Talking about Sankranthi competition, he said "It is true that this Sankranthi, the race is tight. However, I am confident that my treatment and unique touch will surely impress the audience. This is a big-scale movie that is rugged and unsubtle. The rawness will be liked by the audience."

Talking about the producer support, he said "Producer Srinivasaa Chitturi trusted me totally and provided me with the resources needed. That's why I could complete the shoot smoothly. The film wrapped up the shoot yesterday."
