Today, a grand wedding between Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant in Mumbai is set to draw nearly the entire Bollywood industry. However, notable Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar will be notably absent from the festivities due to testing positive for Covid-19, marking his third infection since 2021. His previous bouts with the virus included missing the esteemed Cannes Film Festival in 2022 after contracting Covid-19.

Currently, Akshay Kumar's absence from the wedding is attributed to his ongoing battle with Covid-19, which has also affected his recent promotional activities for the film "Sarfira". Despite the film's global release today, initial reports indicate lower footfall in cinemas, although the film has garnered favorable word-of-mouth reviews. The actor has faced a string of box office disappointments recently, which have impacted his latest movie's performance. Nevertheless, Kumar's career trajectory and earnings remain largely unaffected by this phase of setbacks.
