Prabhas starrer mythological epic Adipurush was released in theatres yesterday. Bollywood director Om Raut directed this mythological drama which is based on the Indian epic Ramayana. Kriti Sanon played the female lead. The film received negative reviews from the early morning show.

 

However it didn't effect the film's phenomenal start at the box office. Due to the trailer and songs, the hype was good and makers cashed this with creative promotions which resulted in solid advance bookings everywhere.

 

The makers have now officially announced that Adipurush collected a worldwide gross of 140 crores on its opening day. Adipurush registered one of the biggest openings for an Indian film. The star power of Prabhas combined with the Ramayana factor ensured sensational openings for the movie at the ticket windows.

 

Adipurush will have to continue the same momentum in the upcoming days to reach the breakeven mark but with the disaster talk it looks tough. Saif Ali Khan played the nemesis of Prabhas. Sunny Singh, Devdatte Nage, Vatshal Seth, and Sonal Chauhan played keyr oles.
