Analysis :
Venkatesh: Venkatesh did well in both roles of Chandram and Ashok. However, the characterizations of these two characters are not good enough to exploit the histrionics of Venkatesh. He has shown variation in the get-up of both the characters. Heroines: Shriya is cute in the role of innocent patriotic village belle. Her costumes are very simple as they represent the culture of 1940s. She is sensuous and at the same time voluptuous in the song of 'Neredi Pandu'. Genelia did a run of the mill character. A white woman did an important role as the sympathizer of Indian Freedom Movement.Others: Prakash Raj is OK as the main villain. Gulshan Grover did the role of British Collector. Tom Alter donned the role of white Governor. Kota Srinivasa Rao did the role of assistant to Gulshan Grover. Tanikella Bharani is good as father of Venkatesh. Among the comedians, Krishna Bhagawan is successful in creating some comedy.
TeluguOne Perspective :
First half of the film is mediocre. Second half is routine and boring. The period episode of the film is not executed well. The tactics of hero in getting the truth out of villain towards climax are unappealing. On a whole, the most competent team of Venkatesh - K Raghavendra Rao - Aswini Dutt disappoints the audience with Subhash Chandra Bose.
