His wife, who is pregnant, doesn't like this and she decides to go back to her parents along with her 10 year old son. But her husband retains the elder son saying "this son of mine Bhanuprasad (Srikanth) will stay here and nurture my father's ideals. You can take the one you are carrying and do whatever you wish to do with him." While going to her parents place, she is attacked by the factionist's goons. While escaping from the them, she gives birth to a baby boy. She entrusts bringing up of the infant to a lady companion (Telangana Shakunthala) asking her to bring up the child into a good human being and dies. Shakunthala takes the infant to Stuart colony in Hyderabad. There the infant, Ranga (Srikanth) grows up and becomes a thief. He hates policemen from his childhood because of their misdeeds. Ranga makes it a point to steal only from the houses of policemen. Ranga is taken to the court in connection with a case. In the court, a man is killed in a bomb-attack. He's none other than Ranga's older brother Bhanuprasad. Ranga gets surprised when he looks at the dead body of Bhanuprasad. They both look exactly the same. Bhanuprasad's men take Ranga along with them to Bhanuprasad's wife (Ramyakrishna),who lives in Simhapuri. To achieve her husband's goals, she makes Ranga act like Bhanuprasad. Whether Ranga succeeded in achieving his dead brother's goals...., is the rest of the story.
Analysis :
Direction: This movie looks better than the movie "Hero", directed by GV in the past. This film's story is good, but because of certain flaws in its narration, interest in movie gets reduced. Had the flaws were taken care of, this movie would have been a super hit. Twists in the story are appealing. Its first half is mostly an entertaining one, while the main story comes forth in the second half. Production values are good, seems its makers didn't hesitate in providing whatever the filming required. This flick too joins the genre of faction-films.Acting: Hero Srikanth succeeded in showing all the three variations - as Ranga The Donga, as Bhanuprasad and again Ranga as Bhanuprasad in the later part of the film. Vimala Raman's role is a glamour-role and she didn't have much to do in the film. Ramyakrishna excelled as Bhanuprasad's wife and the way she emoted through her eyes is impressive. Unlike routine, Telangana Shaunthala underplayed her role and it's good. Shivaji Raja and Jayapkash Reddy's performance is also good.Music: Two songs are good. Tunes of remaining songs bring the feeling that they have been already heard. Re-recording is good.
TeluguOne Perspective :
Dialogues: Dialogues are average. Not in tune with the range of the movie.Lyrics: Lyrical standard of the songs is not bad. Only, opening song contains double meaning words in plenty.Cinematography: Good, particularly in songs and action sequences.Editing: Goutham Raju has done a good job.Choreography: Choreographer tried hard to show something new in every song.Action: Action scenes are good and appealing to the masses."If you aren't averse to watching faction movies, are free to watch it. Otherwise it's a time-pass movie, can be seen once."
