A routine love story, it is about Madhu (Raja) and Swapna (Sneha), who are students in the same engineering college and also happen to be the best in studies and sports. As expected, both tend to get attracted to each other and when they are about to express their feelings completely, a new guy walks in who is totally in love with Swapna. However, he is kept aside and the love is intact, in the later stages life begins in the professional world when both of them pass out of college and Madhu lands in the city as he gets a good job. In this process, he meets another girl (Hemasri) who tends to move closer to Madhu. This is misinterpreted by Swapna as love and the misunderstanding brings about a gap which leads to Swapna agreeing to get married to the same guy, who loved her during college times as arranged by elders. What happens to Madhu? What is his relation with the girl? Does his love succeed with Swapna forms the rest of the story.
Analysis :
A very old subject which has taken the audience to a worn out path, the film had nothing creative in it to be appreciated. The first half of the film has some energy with college backdrop and romance, but the second half takes the movie for a big toss which really frustrates the audience a great deal. The timing of the songs is another cause of annoyance, thanks to a poor screenplay. All in all, it will take Giri Babu to come to terms with the present taste of the audience if he is looking at a career as director. It is hard for the film to survive a fortnight or three weeks.
TeluguOne Perspective :
Giri babu who made his debut with the film as director must understand that more than the enthusiasm of making the film, it is important to impress the audience. His choice of story is stale, the narration is poor and the presentation is just about okay. The saving grace of the film is some decent performances added with passable music, which has churned out few melodious numbers. There are no great technical values in the film and it looked like the genre of the films that used to score good points during the late 80s and early 90s. Raja has come out with a decent performance and his chemistry with Sneha was good who came up with an equally impressive performance. They lost on the characters, since they did not have much to offer. Raghu Babu came as a true revelation as a villain as audience is used to see him as a comedian. Comedy was not effective. The other stars did their roles mechanically.
