Arjun plays that role of Koti. Sneha is featured opposite him. There are four songs on them, which are pleasingly presented. Music in general is the strength of the film too. The drama is distributed between Arjun and Sneha in equal measure but with distinct contrast in appeal. Arjun is rough and tough guy with long mustache spread on either side. Sneha is a beautiful woman, highly educated too. They look like a combination of beauty and beast. Director Sundar brings them together creating a funny situation of Sneha getting into the boat of Koti to go to the other shore for some research work. In fact the whole drama comes to us as flashback narration, as imagined by Sneha in her post-marital life. She is forced to marry another man in the absence of Koti, who goes to jail on a crime he commits in Sneha's defense. The flashback tells how they came together and influenced each other's life and how Koti who lost his mother and everybody, for that matter, in his early life, began seeing his mother in the way she takes care of him. He starts feeling for the first time in his life, that he began feeling secure in somebody's love.
Analysis :
The main theme starts off with Sneha noticing goodness in him behind his aggressive and rude exterior. She decides to change him and succeeds in harnessing his emotions. Her talk and the sentence she uses make him think she is in love with him. He too expresses his love one day and his desire to marry her. But a fight that starts off between him and his rivals in the fish food trade sends him to jail on the charge of murdering two of them. By the time he returns from jail, she is married to somebody else. He becomes cynic and more temperamental and violent. Yet he tries to control himself remembering Sneha every time he looses his temper. Sneha too is worried over these developments. One day he simply takes her away with him by force. There is a police hunt. It was a cat and mouse game between police and this man. Her husband also joins the fray and as this married couple is about to fall into a valley, Koti goes to their rescue. In the process he is believed dead. But he reappears and rest shows how the police corner him.
TeluguOne Perspective :
This film is a real test of histrionic skills of both Arjun and Sneha. This is a landmark film in that sense in their life. Except Jayaprakash Reddy playing a vicious role in the drama, rest of all the artistes come from south. But the dubbing work is done perfectly, obviously with the leadership of Ghantasala Ratnakumar who took rights for the production of Telugu dubbing. The picture sounds like a straight make in Telugu. Musically too the songs have the Telugu nativity. All the members of the cast are experienced artistes and turned out great performances.
