Andhra Bank has launched mobile ATMs in Hyderabad. The mobile ATMs will be stationed at select points at select times in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. This is the first time that mobile ATMs have been launched in the state. Customers can transact business at these ATMs either by using their PIN or can opt for the bio-metric feature.
The bio-metric feature has a built in safety as the thumb impression cannot be replicated and offers complete safety to the customers. It is also a great boon in rural areas where the literacy rate is very low.
Andhra Bank is also offering a very high interest rate of up to 9.75 per cent for fixed deposits. For senior citizens, the interest rate has been pegged at 10.5 percent which is the highest offered by any public sector bank.
