A feature film on a community television was being shown in a village through the satellite system.

As soon as a provocative dance number came on, there was loud clang and at once younger women and children closed their eyes tightly.

The dance number over another clang sounded and they opened their eyes and resumed viewing.

When asked by the visitor what this clang (sound) was all about, the chief man of the village explained that the wise village elders, well aware of the sinful influence of city life, have decided to impose our won standards of censorship: the clang of the metal pot signalled “cut” for the impressionable younger villagers.
