It is heard that PVP Prasad was all set to produce ‘Geetanjali’ while the original title for this film was ‘Tripura’. But PVP then left the project due to unknown reasons and another producer who came into picture changed the title to ‘Geetanjali’. The film was very successful at the box-office and the producers made an announcement for a new film in the same combination of Anjali and Srinivas Reddy titled ‘Tripura’. However, sources say that for the muhurtam shot, Anjali was not to be seen and it was Colors Swathi who was announced as the heroine of Tripura.
