Indian National Overseas Congress (I) (INOC), USA” forms Telangana chapter

 

 

The Indian National Overseas Congress hosted the first live web telecast by Indian Leaders to NRI’s at an event in Manhattan. The event also marked the formation of the Telangana chapter of the Indian National Overseas Congress (I) and is being headed by Dr. Rajender Reddy Jinna.

 

The event started with the address of the President of the Indian National Overseas Congress Shudh Parkash Singh Jasuja who spoke on the activities of the Overseas Congress and it Chalo Punjab campaign last year to help the Congress Party in India. He then introduced the members of the Overseas Congress Ravi Chopra, Kalathil Varghese, Phuman Singh, Mr.Kayani and others.

Rajender Dichpally (former youth President) then started the live web address by the Telangana Congress President who spoke on the Congress President Sonia Gandhi’s role in the formation of the new state and also the sacrifices and struggle of the people of the state for many decades. He said that in spite of the struggle for the formation of telangana, there was no effect on the development of the state in the last few years. He elaborated the various investments in IT field under his tenure as IT minister and also the development and progress of Andhra Pradesh under the Congress Government. He also said that there was no BJP wave in the country and the people will see through the myth of development in Gujarat, which has a lower GDP growth when compared to A.P. in the last few years.



 


Dr.Karan Singh (M.P.), the foreign affairs in charge of the Congress Party then addressed the gathering through a recorded telecast and spoke of the various schemes like Right to Education, Employment Guarantee scheme, Food security etc that the UPA Government took up for the common man and said that the development work under taken by the UPA (I & II) was tremendous. He hoped that the NRI community will support the Congress Party in India and again ensure a Congress Led Government under the leader ship of the young and dynamic Shri Rahul Gandhi.


The other speakers included Kalathil Varghese, Ravi Chopra and Phuman Singh. Rajender Dichpally proposed a vote of thanks and closed the event.
