Amazing response for NATS Kick off event in New JerseyNATS (North America Telugu Society) celebrated kick off event for 2011 America Telugu Sambaralu in grand style in New Jersey on November 1st 2009 at Royal Alberts Palace.

NATS career assistance director Mr.Anil Boppudi anchored the event and gave the welcome speech. Varun Vemuganti sang the national anthem.

Mr.Yugandhar Rao Vallabhaneni, Mrs. Satyavathy Vallabhaneni, Dr. Purna Atluri, Dr. Subha Atluri, Mr. Ravi Madala and Dr. Madhu Korrapati lit the lamp and started off the NATS kick off event.

Young popular singers Srinidhi and Raghuram kicked off the entertainment session with their melodious and peppy songs.

NATS president Mr.Ravi Madala announced New Jersey as the venue for 2011 NATS conference and spoke at length about NATS Organization’s objectives, accomplishments and the various service activities NATS has been taking up. NATS Helpline director Mr.Vijay Reddy AnnapuReddy spoke about NATS helpline (1-888-4-Telugu) and the different service offerings of NATS helpline.

Over 1200 people attended this event and donated $487,000 during the Fund Raiser. There was an over whelming response from the Youth and seniors of North East Telugu community for various activities NATS has been doing. Everyone stepped in and showered their support and as a result a whopping amount of four hundred and eighty seven thousand dollars ($487,000) was raised for Sambaralu-2011.

Later, NATS Treasurer Dr.Veeriah Chundu and Director of Rotary club, Mr.Rick Baines briefed about NATS Polio eradication activities. NATS regional director Mr.MohanaKrishna Mannava briefed the upcoming service activities of NATS in the coming calendar year across the country. NATS Secretary Mr.Srinivas Koneru and Mr.Sekharam Kottha spoke about the recent flood relief activities initiated by NATS.

Renowned ventriloquist Prasad sanapathi cracked up the crowd with his hilarious art of ventriloquism. Young Telugu playback singer Simha is the highlight of the event and enthralled the audience with his energetic songs.

Telugu movie heroine Ankitha drew huge cheers and whistles for her performance for the song ‘Nuvvu Visilesthe’ from Simhadri movie. Young kid Nithisha Eluri drew amazing response from the crowd for her spell bounding performance for the song ‘Aa chandama Nene’. Popular local Singers Rajiv and Anitha Krishna delighted the crowd with their melodious songs.

NATS renovated new website was launched by Mr.Malla Reddy.

The star attraction of the event, ‘Ghazal Maestro’ Dr.Ghazal Srinivas mesmerized the audience with his ghazals.

Prominent Telugu community leaders Vallabhaneni Yugandhar rao, Malla Reddy, Purnachandra Reddy, Dr.Madhu Korrapati, Vijay Reddy Annapureddy, Harnath Doddapaneni, Sailaja Adluri, Vikram Jangam, Bapineedu, Bikkina Mahesh, Janani Krishna, Prasada Rao Neppalli, Daggubati Srinivas Prasad, Dr. Atluri Purna, Dr.Babu Rao Doddapaneni, Venkatesh Mutyala, Shiva Muthiki, Dr. Prem Nandiwada, Damu Gedala, Natraj Gandham, Mahesh Saladi, Murthy Gulivendula, Dharma Reddy Boddu, Nagendra Gupta, Deshu Gangadhar, Prasad Kanagala, Maddali Srinivas, Pamidimukkala Muralikrishna, Ram Suryadevara, Anju kondabolu, Mohan Reddy Patlolla, Mahendar reddy Musugu, Ramesh Eluru, Raj Allada, Jagadeeswar Reddy, Karani, Satya Nemani, Jagan Erram Raju, Subba Reddy Jakkampudi, Subba rayudu, Nagendar Madhavaram, Murali Chintalpalli, Srinivas Thunuguntla, Indukuri Ganesh Raju, Emani Venkata rao, Kodali srinivas, Jogeswara rao Peddiboyina, Srinivas Koneru, Chakradhar Voleti, Sekharam Kottha, Kota Prasanna, Adusumilli Rathish, Vishnu Veerapaneni, Seshu Babu Veeramachineni, Ganne ramana, Ravi Potluri, Abhiruchi Srinath, Kotapati Sambayya, etc attended the event.

Seshu Babu Kanuri briefed about the Career assistance initiatives and the Digital libraries. Puja Eppanapalli, founder of ‘Save the Viewers Organ’ mentioned the importance of going green.

In spite of short notice, the following NATS local volunteers – MohanaKrishna Mannava, Anil Boppudi, Ramesh Gandhamaneni, Ramesh Nuthalapati, Sudhir Tummala, Prasad Vaddela, Vasu Tupakula, Ravi Parvathaneni, Bhaskar Bupathi, Ramesh Chandra, Ravi Dhannapuneni, Pradeep Suvarna, Srinivas Ganagoni, Madhu Reddy, Raj Allada, Krishna Thella, Vishnu Aluru, Prasad Gurram, Ramana Koneru, Prasanth Vemuganti, Ranjit Chaganti and Prajwala worked very hard in making the event a grand success.

The program ended with the patriotic ‘Punyabhoomi Naadesam’ song.
