The Telangana Labour Minister Vivek, has issued notices to the producers of Ravi Teja's upcoming film Irumudi, Mythri Movie Makers, over the participation of a minor girl, Baby Nakshatra, in the film's shoot. The department has sought clarification on whether the production team followed the mandatory regulations governing the employment of children in film productions.

The Joint Commissioner of the Telangana Labour Department has questioned Mythri on whether they obtained prior permission from the District Magistrate before involving the minor in the shoot and secured formal consent from her parents. The officials have also sought call sheets, attendance records and details of the working hours during which the girl participated in filming.

The production team has been asked to explain what measures were taken to ensure that her education was not affected, whether a dedicated guardian was appointed to look after her safety and welfare, and whether 20 per cent of her remuneration was deposited in a fixed deposit account. The department has also sought clarification on the minor's proposed participation in the film's promotional activities, including its pre-release event.

The producers have been directed to appear before the Labour Department on November 4 at 11 AM with all relevant documents and evidence. The notice seeks to establish whether the film's production complied with child labour regulations and safeguards applicable to minors working in the entertainment industry.
