Once, Sukumar and Devi Sri Prasad were assured to work together in any film that the director is making. But the rumors have been rampant about things between them not being same as before since, Pushpa 2 delays. Many have added fuel to the rumors stating that Mythri Movie Makers issues with DSP have rubbed off on this combo's future.
Now, producer Ravi Shankar, popularly known as Mythri Ravi, has clarified that no decisions have been made regarding the technical crew or other cast members of Ram Charan and Sukumar’s upcoming film, tentatively referred to as RC17. He stated that the actor and director are currently discussing the story and script, with the team yet to finalise other details.
Speaking at the teaser launch event of Donga Naa Koduku, Ravi said Sukumar is presently in London and that the team will take a call on the technical crew after his return. He made it clear that discussions are still at the scripting stage and that it is too early to draw conclusions about the film’s casting or crew.

Ravi also addressed the speculation surrounding the film’s music composer, particularly the rumours that Devi Sri Prasad might not be part of the project. He pointed out that DSP has worked on seven films for Mythri Movie Makers, with every film becoming a blockbuster and delivering chartbuster music. So, even if he misses out that doesn't mean they undermine DSP or his contribution to their films. He stated that he still has a long career ahead of him and this movie doesn't define anything.
However, Ravi maintained that the final decision rests with Sukumar. He said the director might choose to work with another composer or continue his association with DSP, adding that the production house does not force or interfere with a director’s creative choices.
